As Chief Financial Officer of Medicom Health, Connie Bush brings a vast level of experience in all manner of financial management and public accounting to the team.
While Connie is a well-rounded and multi-talented individual, she isn’t all business and numbers as one may think. When she’s not too busy wearing the CFO hat, she shifts gears into HR; focusing on hiring, benefits, policies, and insurance. She also oversees office improvements and plans informative (but fun) quarterly meetings and yearly company events. During this year’s Q2 meeting, for instance, Connie arranged to have it at Top Golf where after celebrating the quarter, we call competed on the green.
There’s no one you’ll find that loves water more than Connie. When she gets the chance, Connie drives to the Earth’s largest freshwater lake, Lake Superior, to get away from it all. “We never tire of the big lake and all of its beauty during every season of the year.” When she can’t get her fix up north, she’s perfectly content to spend it at home in Shoreview on the shores another amazing, but significantly smaller lake.
Hometown/Places you’ve lived: I have lived in Minnesota all of my life. I grew up in Elk River, when it was a small town of 2,000 people. At that time, it was very community focused around school and church activities. After high school I went to college in St. Paul and have lived here ever since.
Current/Favorite Netflix binge: Oddly, I’m probably one of the few who still enjoys watching network TV, with the “Chicago” series being my favorite. As an offseason filler I have been binging on “Suits.”
Hobbies: The Water – I like to be “by in”, “on it”, or “in it”. We love to swim, boat, and waterski, and are fortunate to live on a small lake in Shoreview where we can do all of these things.
Going to brunch: It all about the breakfast foods for me. Unfortunately, I love pancakes, either Blueberry or Swedish roll-ups topped, of course, with real northern MN maple syrup.
Cat or Dog? Definitely Dog as I am allergic to cats. We had a dog named Lucy and she was a great addition to our family when our children were young. She was part Rottweiler and Australian Cattle Dog, so very protective of the kids and always wanting to keep us herded together. She also loved boating with us especially when she learned to ¬jump off of the pontoon and climb up the ladder. Now though, we enjoy the freedom of not having pets.
