Mt. Sinai Medical Center recently launched MHI’s online Heart Health Profiler to bolster brand recognition in its community and reach new potential patients.
Like many other major medical centers, Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami has long been seeking to identify high-risk patients and increase patient volume among those high-risk candidates. Working in collaboration with Medicom Health Interactive, Mt. Sinai recently launched an online assessment, which resides on their website and is branded with the Mount Sinai logo and colors. Their expectation is that this online assessment will also be an effective way to bolster brand recognition in their community.
Mount Sinai contacted MHI because of our experience at building these types of in-depth, evidence-based assessments, similar in many ways to those we developed with the American Heart Association. MHI’s licensed product, the Heart Health Profiler, is developed with our 10+ years of experience building similar assessments for large corporate clients based on the Framingham Heart Study. The Heart Health Profiler determines a person’s “heart age”, a particularly effective way of communicating heart disease risk. Mount Sinai has decided to promote this new program by asking, “How Young is Your Heart?”
The assessment is visually engaging and very easy to use. Patients answer a short list of questions and receive results that show personal heart age, 10-year cardiovascular risk, and a stratified list of risk factors. The specific call to action can be customized for each host client. During the assessment there are multiple opportunities for users to register to receive information from Mount Sinai and also to be referred to Mount Sinai physicians.
The Hearth Health Profiler assessment also pushes data back to Mount Sinai, capturing all information needed to identify at-risk patients for future targeted marketing. The program can also generate usage and user reports, which can interface with an existing CRM or act as a stand-alone CRM.
The Heart Health Profiler’s ROI is decidedly fast and impressive. After only one week on Mount Sinai’s website there were 151 assessment completions, 40 captured email addresses of potentially high-risk patients, and 7 referrals to a Mount Sinai physician. If just ONE of those referrals turns into a mid-major procedure, it will pay for the program three-fold!
