The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) released their guidelines for web accessibility this year. Accordingly, we’ve upgraded our v3 HRAs to meet ADA compliance and deliver that flexibility to you.
If you’re familiar with our new v3 HRAs, you have likely seen indicators where some design elements are not within ADA compliance.
Ada Compliance Considerations:
- Color ratios
- Certain profess indicators
- Result-badge colors
- Inline delighters
- Calculating page
We’ve also added an option in the Legal & Compliance part of the Customization section. By selecting this ADA compliance check box, it automatically removes all non-ADA compliant features from your HRA.
However, there is one thing to remember. Colors can be tricky. It’s your responsibility to check and make sure your primary UI color is dark enough. This is so that when you do check the ADA box, the application will turn the color to a right contrast. The ADA contrast requirement is 4.5:1. This selection can be turned on and off.
