Michael Venske is Medicom Health’s Renaissance Man!
For the majority of the last ten years Michael Venske didn’t have a “job.” As an award-winning writer, speaker and actor, he had gigs. Michael bounced around the globe executing his mission to make the world a better place. Helping the greater good always inspired his decision making on where to go next.
One such leap took him to Zibo, Shandong, China. For three years he taught English and drama to 1000 students, ages 4 – 18, at a private boarding school. His experiences appear in a coffee table book, A Different Perspective: Expat Life.
In 2015 an ailing family called Michael home to Minnesota. Between caring for his father and grandparents, he rebuilt his life in the states. That’s when the opportunity to join Medicom Health’s Client Success Team appeared in August 2016. Venske had two questions: “What’s an HRA and how does it make the world a better place?” After a thorough tutorial, Michael saw similarities between Medicom’s mission and his.
Fueled by the desire to help individuals at risk find the care they need, he does this by assisting Medicom’s clients implement, optimize, and market their HRAs. Day-to-day activities vary, which Venske appreciates. One day Michael is creating ad copy for client Facebook campaigns. The next has him troubleshooting technical issues. Venske is the Client Success team’s Swiss army knife.
Michael makes his home in Minneapolis with a handful of dying plants. In his free time, he enjoys breakfast foods, holding hands, and dancing to vinyl.
