Conversion Tracking – What You Can Do
Found in the the Customization area of the portal, Custom Code is a beneficial tool to optimize the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. A crucial part of any digital marketing campaign is keeping track of conversion numbers. Custom Code gives you the ability to report back to ad platforms when a consumer starts or completes the HRA. This can help you adjust tactics to reach more of the right people.
For instance, if you promote the HRA on Facebook and add their tracking pixel code to the Management Portal, you’ll be able to:
- Optimize delivery to users more likely to take action
- Create “Custom Audiences” for people who complete the assessment
- Automatically build audiences for retargeting
- Create “Lookalike Audiences” & find more people similar to your demographic to raise completion rates
- Receive stats on the consumers who visit the HRA via Audience Insights
- Measure cross-device conversions
Custom Code and Tracking Pixels
But what’s a “tracking pixel,” anyway? A tracking pixel is a tiny, transparent, pixel-sized (1px by 1px) image you should embed on either the start or results page of an HRA. When the end user hits the start (or results page) it sends a request to a server to download the tracking pixel attached to the content they’ve interacted with. The tracking pixel and the process are invisible to the user, but the data collected will help you build a stronger digital campaign.

Once you have completed the set-up with your ad channel and pasted the code on your website, feel free send us the link and we can add it for you! Please note that it takes within 2 business days for code to be live in your HRA.
The Custom Code section allows you to track visits, impressions, opens, starts and completions. When used the right way, Custom Code can transform your next campaign, optimize your website and boost conversions. An advantage of Custom Code at the start of the profilers is measuring which ads are working best. It allows you to refine messages or campaigns accordingly to drive more traffic.
Growing up in a family of providers to critical access hospitals, she took note early on of the importance of quality healthcare and proper outreach. From there she went on the work as a marketing manager for a small system in south central Wisconsin, eventually moving into clinic management and liaison work.
In 2014, she shifted gears to the SaaS-vendor side of healthcare and spent years in the CRM space, where she worked remotely doing client work, running trainings, and developing relationships. A good portion of her time is spent face-to-face with clients talking through operational hiccups, ways to best target consumers, appropriate use of budgets and most importantly – how to measure effectiveness of marketing dollars.
Bridget has a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville, M.A. in Public Relations from Webster University and an M.A. in Counseling from Lakeland University.
