Of course, mental health is of critical importance year round, but it is timely that May is Mental Health Month. The change in seasons, daylight savings time, and sleep patterns can be a trigger for depression and anxiety. All of these things are reasons to spotlight two of our newest HRAs – Depression and Anxiety.
Many of the health systems are experiencing increases in volume for the treatment of depression and anxiety. While this is encouraging news, as the people who need help are finding it. At the same time there are certainly others who are either: A) finding it too difficult to get an appointment; or, B) not sure if they need help yet.
Mental Health Month
Health month status means more people will be researching mental health. Adding our Depression HRA and/or Anxiety HRA is valuable in helping online searchers learn if seeking treatment is an appropriate next step. Maybe some of them can wait, based upon symptoms and evidence. Additionally, this helps the health system ensure those who most need the care most are able to access it.
Each HRA has built-in triggers for those who are at immediate risk. Built on the clinically proven PHQ-2 and GAD-2, both our Depression and Anxiety HRAs are some of our fastest growing HRAs among clients.
