Here at Medicom Health, we understand that the outcome of a successful intern-turned-employee story is dependent on the intern’s options after college and the overall impression a company makes on the person working the internship. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), the internship conversion rate was at 45.6% in 2018. That’s why we at Medicom Health consider ourselves fortunate to have found our very own intern success story with Maxwell Turpin, one of our Software Engineers!
Following his successful internship, Maxwell graduated from Tufts with a double major in computer science and biology and returned to Medicom Health to officially join the development team. As a software engineer, he spends his days working on making improvements to our products. He attends weekly development team meetings to stay on track with assignments and to discuss tasks/projects. At times, his skills are also required to provide feedback to our product team about improvements with new and upcoming design ideas.
Aside from computer science and biology, Maxwell’s impressive learning skills go as far back as winning 1st place at the MATHCOUNTS state competition in middle school. He’s greatly inspired by his hardworking mother, who has imprinted upon him the love of learning. When he’s not too busy with life, he’d love to visit Japan again to enjoy the beautiful scenery and food.
