Holidays and Anxiety

With the holidays upon us, most people find themselves excited to spend quality time with family and friends. For others, though, this time of year can trigger high levels of stress and anxiety. Anxiety disorders affect more than 40 million adults in the United States, and the additional pressure that comes with holidays can add to the challenges one is already dealing with on a daily basis.

Mental health has been at the center of many high-profile news stories over the past year, and it is clear that we need to take action to provide care and resources to those who need support. Adding our Anxiety HRA helps individuals in the community learn if seeking evaluation is an appropriate next-step. In addition, this helps health systems ensure those who need the care most are able to access it.

The Medicom Health Anxiety HRA screens adults between the ages of 18 and 89 for symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). The tool also assesses common risk factors and history of recent panic attacks. The purpose of the HRA is to identify consumers who should undergo additional screening for anxiety disorders in a primary care setting. Based on the clinically proven GAD-2, our Anxiety HRA is one of our fastest growing HRAs among our clients.

Tami has been in the healthcare marketing space for nearly two decades – working in both large hospital systems and independent medical groups. The majority of her career was spent in San Diego, leading marketing and communications efforts for both Sharp Healthcare and Palomar Health. With a hefty focus on CRM, ROI analysis and the patient experience, Tami was an early adopter of digital technology.

After a recent move to Connecticut, with her husband Justin and children Molly and Max, Tami is excited to join the Client Success team at Medicom Health and looks to be a valued strategic resource to her clients.
